Hartmann’s creative team has worked with our customer Columbus Frischei to develop a highly innovative concept for the well-known German retailer, ALDI. Since egg sales tend to drop off in summer, our creative department and our customers need to think outside the box every year to bring new and interesting product ideas to tempt consumers back into the buying habit. And this year was no exception.
We’re proud to say that ALDI adopted our idea under their well know own organic brand “GUT BIO, so this appealing summer product was sold in selected ALDI stores in the North of Germany, packed in our attractive imagic2 6-pack. The ALDI own brand GUT BIO offers consumers an extensive product range of high-quality organic products - such as dairy products, oils, meat, sausage and more – meaning consumers in Germany get to enjoy high quality organic food at low, own-brand prices. The team came up with the ingenious idea of an in-pack inlay - tucking a small envelope of cress seeds into our imagic2 6-pack with instructions printed inside the lid on how to grow them in the repurposed egg box.
To make this concept even more enticing to consumers, the packaging appealed to the consumer’s taste buds. Simple recipes (with a shopping list) on the back of the Hartmann Peel-Off label made it super-easy to prepare and shop for an "Egg and Cress Salad Spread " and sharpened their appetite for more delicious and simple recipe ideas. We can’t wait to see what delicious ideas the Hartmann creative team will develop with Columbus Frischei for next summer. We can assure you that this won’t be the last promotion.
