Honoring tradition, embracing innovation
At the heart of Schleswig-Holstein’s scenic countryside in Germany lies Hornbrooker Hof, a family-run farm that has been committed to the highest standards of farming for over 50 years. Known for their sustainable practices and ethical approach, Hornbrooker Hof has become a household name, recognized for their dedication to quality and animal welfare. Now in 2024, this long-standing tradition received a modern twist through an exciting rebranding project that not only refreshed their image but also strengthened their connection with customers by elevating their packaging to reflect both their heritage and their forward-thinking approach.
Bridging tradition and innovation: A sesign to remember
It wasn’t just about creating new labels – it was about capturing the essence of their farm and their philosophy of care for the land and animals. The new label design brought together a harmonious blend of traditional and contemporary elements. By pairing soft, natural colors that resonate with the farm’s organic roots with sleek, modern typography and captivating illustrations, we created a design that speaks to both the heritage of the brand and its vision for the future.
By staying true to Hornbrooker Hof’s core values while embracing modern design trends, we were able to create a brand identity that feels both authentic and fresh. Each label now feels like an extension of the farm itself – rooted in nature but forward-looking in its presentation. The eggs are packed in our 2x6 and 1x10 imagic2® and are sold in more than 160 large and small stores throughout northern Germany.
A unified brand experience: From carton to aisle
A key element of the rebrand was the seamless integration of the labels with the packaging itself. The warm tones of the cartons now perfectly complement the delicate illustrations, creating a unified look that stands out on the shelves. The labels are not just visually appealing; they tell a story – the story of Hornbrooker Hof’s dedication to sustainable farming and egg production, and the humane treatment of animals.
But this rebranding wasn’t just about aesthetics. It was about creating a design that resonates with today’s conscious consumers, who are not only looking for quality products but also for brands they can trust.
We’re proud to have played a part in helping them tell that story, and we look forward to seeing their continued success for years to come.
Hornbrooker Hof is a traditional family business founded more than 70 years ago by the Goldnick family and now run by the 3rd and 4th generation. Their focus has always been on species-appropriate animal husbandry, freshness and well-thought-out logistics. Besides their own egg production, Hornbrooker Hof works with partners who deliver the eggs to the farm to be packed there and sold under the same label.
