Our Social Responsibility

We are committed to the UN Global Compact’s principles on human and labour rights. We want to ensure safe and healthy work conditions for our workers and strive to leave a positive impact on people across our value chain.

Our Social Responsibility

Creating safe and positive social impact

We promote the conditions outlined in the UN Global Compact’s human and labour rights principles in our value chain across all locations. The health and safety of our workers are of utmost importance to us, but our safety performance has moved in the wrong direction in 2025.

We take our responsibility seriously and have intensified onboarding, supervision, and preventive measures to strengthen safety across all sites.

Social Commitments

Consumer Health and Safety

As a food packaging manufacturer, it is also of critical importance that our products in no way compromise the health and safety of our customers and end-consumers. We maintain a relentless focus on monitoring, controlling, and testing our production processes and our end-products in accordance with applicable requirements for food safety.

Zero Work-related Accidents

We invest in technology, training, and smarter processes to keep our people safe. Our Code of Conduct supports ethical behaviour across all interactions. Hartmann is committed to being a great place to work — where diverse talent thrives and inclusion is a shared responsibility.

Gender Distribution

At Hartmann, we promote equal opportunities for people of all backgrounds and genders. As part of THORNICO, we support the Group’s target of at least 40% women in top management by 2035, while fostering a workplace built on fairness, respect and inclusion.
