Flower Meadow Project – Celebrating Three Years of Growth and ESG Commitment
Planting the seeds of sustainability—one flower at a time
At Hartmann Packaging in Koprivnica, Croatia, we are proud to celebrate the third anniversary of our flower meadow and permaculture orchard project—a living example of our long-term commitment to environmental responsibility and ESG principles.
Launched in 2023 as a collaborative initiative with local kindergarten children, the project started with a simple idea: to create a space where nature could thrive. Since then, it has grown into a self-sustaining ecosystem that not only enhances biodiversity but also provides an opportunity for environmental education and community involvement.
Together with the children, we planted native wildflowers including poppies, calendulas, and marigolds, which now bloom seasonally and attract pollinators like bees and butterflies. A fruit tree was also introduced following the principles of permaculture—a method of planting that supports a resilient and balanced environment with minimal human interference.
The result is more than just a meadow; it’s a symbol of what long-term thinking can achieve. Over time, the area has flourished into a natural habitat, supporting local wildlife and demonstrating how even small green spaces can make a real difference.
This project reflects our belief that sustainability is not just a goal, but a continuous journey—rooted in action, education, and connection with the communities around us. We are proud to see the positive impact it has made and look forward to watching it grow in the years to come.
